Hosting Information

The information below will be helpful in getting you started with your MWT hosted audio files.

From the software screen, STEP 4 of 5 asks for your username and password, enter them here. Be sure you have the "Use MWT hosting" tab selected, not FTP upload.

Click on UPLOAD and watch the files start to transfer. When they are done you will be prompted with "upload done", press OK.

Once your audio files are uploaded to our servers, click on NEXT to the screen of the software, now you will need to copy/paste the HTML code "Player Code" on your web page where you'd like the audio player buttons to appear on your web site.

Step 5 is where you will find the HTML code needed. Be sure you click on PLAYER CODE, not email link. Only the PLAYER CODE is used to insert into your web pages. Wherever this code is inserted, this is where the player buttons will appear.

Editing/Uploading web pages to your web site should have been provided to you by your web site hosting provider. MWT will handle streaming your audio files, but where your web pages are located is a different hosting provider. Hosting web pages is not what MWT does, MWT only hosts your audio files. Check with your web site hosting provider on how to make changes to your web site.

Typically, here's what you would do...

There are many different ways to edit web pages, here's how handle most of them.

Online Control Panel Method: Some hosts have an online control panel where you can make changes to your web site using an online control panel. Once you're at your control panel of your web site host, select the file name of the web page you want to edit, then paste the HTML code, as shown in the "Player Code" area (Step 5) of the MyWebsiteTalks software. Save your file, and preview it. The audio buttons should now appear on your web page. You may have to hit "Refresh" on your browser to see the changes you've made.

FTP upload Method:

Open your web page in your web page editing program. Then paste the HTML code, as shown in the "Player Code" area (Step 5) of the MyWebsiteTalks software. Save your file. Upload the revised web page to your web host.

If your editing method is not shown here, please contact your web hosting provider to instructions on how to edit web pages on your web site.
